"Looks Get in the Way"

Free Performance Thursday September 5th, at Actorsingers Hall @ 7:30pm

Title: Looks Get in the Way by D.M. Larson

Synopsis: Nervous boy meets strange girl in fancy restaurant for a first date.

Cast

 Tony/Phil ........... Adam Harding

      Sidney .............. Katelynn Devorak

Waitress ........... Mary Golding

 

 

Chuck Emmons and the festival show team will be performing their short play at Actorsingers' Hall as final preparation for the NHCTA Festival this weekend.  They would be happy to have an audience so every who is interested is invited to stop by and see the show.  The performance will start at 7:30pm and is about 20 minutes long.

The NHCTA Festival Performance will be on Saturday September 7th at the Old Bedford Towne Hall @ approximately 2:20 PM.

Actorsingers announces auditions for Les Misérables on Sun, Aug 25 1-3 pm (children age 8-15), and 6-10 pm (adults age 16+), Mon, Aug 26 7-10 pm (adults age 16+) at Actorsingers Hall, 219 Lake St, Nashua, NH.  Callbacks Wed, Aug 28.  Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show.  Bring sheet music for the accompanist.

Rehearsals will be Sun, Mon, Wed evenings starting Sept 1.

Performances: Nov 8, 9, 10 and 15, 16, 17 at Keefe Auditorium, Nashua, NH.

Actorsingers' Festival Entry Seeks Actor/Actress

Seeking male/female to play the waiter/waitress for an upscale restaurant in
short one-act play being rehearsed for the NH Community Theatre One-Act Play
Competition to be held Sept 7 in Bedford.  

The role has no lines, but can be a fun physical comedic part with multiple
entrances and interactions with other characters.  So minimum memorization
BUT maximum FUN.  The play is at http://freedrama.net/looksget.html

Rehearsal are 7pm Tuesday/Thursday at Hall.  Aug 20, 22, 27, 29, Sept 3, 5.
Our Technical Rehearsal slot is Friday evening Sept 6, performance slot
afternoon of Sept 7.

Actorsingers Seeking Directors for Spring 2014 Show

The award winning Actorsingers of Nashua, NH is seeking a Director, a Music Director, and a Choreographer for their spring 2014 show to be staged May 9-11 at Edmund Keefe Auditorium in Nashua.  We are happy to announce the spring show will be Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man.

Interviews will take place in the evening on Tuesday, Sept 10th with the first interview slot at 7 PM. You may interview individually or as team. To set up an interview time please send resumes to Evelynn Decker at secretary@actorsingers.org  by Tuesday September 3rd

Actorsingers Seeking Proposals for Children's 2014 Show

Actorsingers of Nashua, NH is seeking proposals for their next children's production (ages 8 -13) that will be staged March 7-9, 2014 at Janice B. Streeter Theatre, Nashua.

Proposals will be heard in the evening Tuesday, Oct 1st. To set up an interview time please send resumes and show you will be proposing to Evelynn Decker at secretary@actorsingers.org  by Tuesday September 24th.

Bylaw and Policy and Procedure Committee Meeting 

Next Meeting Scheduled for August 27

The next Bylaw and Policy and Procedure Committee meeting is scheduled for August 27 at 7:30 PM @ Actorsingers Hall. The committee will be looking at reworking the Policy and Procedures section of our documentation. This is still an open committee and would welcome additional members.

Thanks to those who attended the first of many meetings (on 7/23/13) to update the Actorsingers By-Laws and Policies & Procedures manual.  Meetings are expected to continue for the rest of the year.

Changes to the By-Laws will be presented at the next semi-annual membership meeting in January 2014 for majority membership approval.
