Using theater as a loose term, Becca was what she called a “Disney” kid since childhood. Growing up on Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and all the rest. She even went as Snow White for Halloween in a costume her mom had made for her. Becca got into doing improv around age 11, where she was a yogurt in a grocery store play, and then did true theater in high school. Becca credits her friends as her inspiration for her getting into theater. To her, they were shining stars on the stage, and not so shining backstage, so she signed up to support them, seeing all of the shows for free. She says it just so happens that she became very good at “herding cats”.
Currently Actorsingers is the only theater group that Becca is involved with, but she also does Cosplay, Steampunk and roleplay as a hobby with friends on the weekends. She is very excited to be a part of “Into the Woods| but her other two favorite shows are Almost Maine and a student written play from her high school of one act plays. What Becca enjoys most about being involved I community theater is that no one takes it too seriously. Everyone is in it to have fun, put on a great production, and takes great pride in their work.
When not doing costumes for “Into the Woods” Becca has an automotive back ground with engineering thrown in, but learned to love sewing about four years ago. She says that with lots of practice, she has honed her sewing skills and love to learn new things all of the time, usually out of necessity. Becca’s dream is to be a lead costumer in a show that has many challenges.
