Seasoned, professional drummer with experience in various performance matrixes and venues including duo, trio, quartet, big band, dinner theater, stage, and all occasion. Particular strengths in traditional / mainstream jazz and blues with formidable skills in most genres. Recognized for solid time, deliberate strokes, rudimentaly sound, and respect for the space between notes.

Duo, Trio, Quartet
Successfully participated in various acoustic performance groups. Quickly adapting to musical styles, timbres, and solo voices. Venues included stage, club, and private party.

Big Band
Participated in the eighteen-piece university (Cleveland State) big band. Explored various musical styles including swing, latin, bossa nova, and ballad with and without vocals. Performed at university and community events.

Dinner Theater, Stage
Percussionist in equity production of "Hello Dolly". Performed eight shows weekly ensuring consistency and quality for each actor. Successfully incorporated traps, timpani, glockenspiel, xylophone, vibes, and auxiliary into performance.
Performed in various "variety" stage/theater shows as a member of the orchestra. Styles included musical theater, patriotic, popular, and oldies. Venues included hotel, restaurant, and amusement parks in Ohio, Florida, and New York.

All Occasion
Member of a successful all-occasion band, (Rick Mattis Orchestra) with approximately 78 engagements per year. Performed wide scope of musical styles including popular, dance, and Polish and Austrian polkas.
